Hmmmm.... The Grand Marshall at the Local Xmas Parade...

It was announced on the news yesterday that that "Other" Captain who made my perfect yarn storage unit famous so I couldn't have it, will be in town next month to see that yarn storage unit, which is now museum piece, when it goes on display at a pirate exhibition. The local government types thought it would be neat if that "other" Captain was in the Holiday Parade at the same time. Too bad they probably will not call me as I sure have a great idea for a float for him to ride on and who he could ride with! I just hope he wears red and green socks for the ocassion.

Meanwhile the good Cap'n and I are off to Ireland in search of Grace O'Malley and I plan on personally thanking that "other" Capt. next month for this grand holiday that he unintentionally made possible.

A Couple of Finished Swedish Bohus Sweaters

This is Bohus Blå Skimmer or Blue Shimmer Bohus sweater and...

This is Rosa Spetskragen or Rose Collar Bohus. Thes two sweaters have been finishd for a couple of years and I still have started knitting and more kits from solsilke.se to knit my way thru.

The good news is that my Ikea shelving should be here the day after tomorrow. If they ever get assembled, I can get started on trying to organize a huge stash of yarn and kits that is totally out of control.

Yes, I do knit... I just can't figure out Blog Programs

Girasole is finished. It has been for over a month and I'm off on to several new yarn starts. I have a child's neckdown bolero to finish by tomorrow for a commission, an Isager jacket started, a Cheryl Oberle Jacket started for a shop model, a couple of shawls, errr... more stuff... need to find sock knitting books... Yeah, I knit, and collect yarn. Where is my Ikea shelving?

Navy Seals Took My Lifeboat

Yeah, yeah, I know, a free fall lifeboat setting in front of my house would have looked pretty silly. At least I got some revenge before the boat sailed off to a museum in Florida.

Loopy was in the lifeboat and out of the lifeboat. He examined the 22 bullet holes (4 outgoing), and

helped seal up the bullet holes as the boat was taking on water.

The only thing missing was a Sharpie pen for him to use. You know, just the usual graffiti: "For a Good Time Call 1-900-Somali Pirate," "Richie Luvs Andrea," "Lars luvs Rusty," etc. I'll now have to make do with new Ikea shelving due to arrive next week to stow my yarn.

A Knitting Blog With No Knitting

Nothing is more boring than a blog without pictures. The USB cable to my camera has been located but not by me. One of the doxie's found it first. I"m sure she thinks she was helping. So, there will be no pictures of knitting tonight either.

Even one of the cats is out to get me tonight. Igor, the kitten found the phone cord to the modem and bit it in half. Ha ha! I fooled him! I had a spare and have since put the modem out of his reach. Another USB cable that will fit this camera is a different story. In the meantime, here is another picture of the boat I want.

I realize that it needs a little bit of work but it should do nicely. It has a lot of cubby holes in it that I can stick lavender bottles and cedar chips in to keep the bugs out of my stash. Speaking of stash. I'm talking about my yarrrrrrrn, matey. I'd show you the inside of the boat but then what would be the point of putting it in my front yard and selling tickets to tour the inside? I'm off now to see where I can order a replacement USB cable that will fit a Nikon Coolpix S220.

I Want the Orange Boat for my yarn

The picture on the left is of the Captain who didn't get caught, didn't get the book deal, and wasn't asked who he thinks should play him in the movie.

And that's my boat. At least I want it to be my boat. You see, it's of no use where it is now and I want to stow some of my knitting yarn that is overtaking the house in it. I want to put the lifeboat on the lawn in front of the house to kill the grass that needs to be mowed and sell tickets to tour the inside of it. The skipper says it'd cost too much to ship but I can still hope.


In the meantime, I have started Jared Flood's Girasole for the Loopy Ewe KAL. I'm doing it in fingering weight and in green using the same yarn as wendyknits.net. I have just started chart D. It is a fun knit and I'd show you but I am still looking for the cord to download pictures. I think some of the other yarn and unfinished projects have swallowed it. I really am beginning to drown in all of this fiber which is why I want that lifeboat.
